Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in refrigerated environments (-10°F to 40°F zones)
- Manage inventory using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Inspect and maintain cold storage equipment (racking, doors, refrigeration units)
- Adhere to HACCP, OSHA, and FDA compliance protocols
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Monitor temperature logs and report equipment malfunctions
- Train new associates on cold storage safety procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly in cold conditions
- Basic computer literacy with inventory software experience
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance mindset
- Ability to work rotating shifts (including weekends/holidays)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
