Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperatures in refrigerated (-20°F to 40°F) and frozen storage areas
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and temperature monitoring systems safely and efficiently
- Inspect products for quality compliance and report inventory discrepancies immediately
- Adhere to strict sanitation protocols and HACCP standards for food safety
- Coordinate with logistics team for efficient loading/unloading of refrigerated trucks
- Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS systems
- Participate in regular safety drills and equipment maintenance checks
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in cold storage or refrigerated warehouse operations
- Valid OSHA forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand for 8+ hours
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Valid Louisiana driver's license preferred
