Responsibilities
- Maintain precise temperature and humidity controls in refrigerated and frozen storage areas
- Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move perishable inventory
- Conduct quality inspections and documentation of incoming/outgoing shipments
- Adhere to HACCP and FDA food safety protocols at all times
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
- Perform routine sanitation and facility maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize storage efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain company-sponsored training)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail and food safety awareness
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for 8+ hours
