Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature (-10°F to 40°F) in refrigerated and freezer sections using digital monitoring systems
- Operate electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and automated storage/retrieval systems (AS/RS)
- Inspect and document product integrity using digital inventory management software
- Implement FIFO rotation protocols for perishable goods and pharmaceuticals
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA safety standards in all cold storage operations
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for efficient loading/unloading of refrigerated trucks
- Maintain sanitation protocols including COP (Clean-Out-of-Place) procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in temperature-controlled warehouse environments
- Valid forklift certification and pallet jack operation proficiency
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Proficiency with inventory management systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Basic understanding of refrigeration systems and thermodynamics
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand/walk for 8+ hour shifts
- High school diploma or equivalent required
