Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature/humidity levels in refrigerated and frozen storage zones
- Safely load/unload products using forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment
- Conduct quality inspections and inventory audits following HACCP protocols
- Operate and maintain refrigeration systems with daily performance checks
- Implement FIFO rotation methods and organize storage areas for maximum efficiency
- Adhere to strict safety procedures including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements
- Complete digital inventory records and warehouse management system updates
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for 8+ hours
- Basic math skills for inventory reconciliation and temperature monitoring
- OSHA 10 or equivalent safety certification preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean background check required
