Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature (-10°F to 40°F) in refrigerated/freezer zones using digital monitoring systems
- Operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts to efficiently load/unload shipments while adhering to FIFO protocols
- Conduct meticulous inventory counts using RFID scanners and warehouse management software
- Implement HACCP guidelines to ensure sanitation standards and prevent cross-contamination
- Perform routine equipment maintenance checks and report malfunctions to maintenance team
- Collaborate with quality control specialists to monitor product integrity and compliance
- Participate in emergency response drills for power outages or temperature deviations
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in refrigerated warehouse or cold storage environment
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to pass company training program)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (e.g., Manhattan, Blue Yonder)
- Strong attention to detail with inventory management accuracy requirements
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic math skills for inventory reconciliation and temperature monitoring
