Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels in refrigerated storage areas
- Load/unload refrigerated trucks and organize inventory in cold environments
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and temperature monitoring equipment
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance
- Adhere to strict HACCP and OSHA safety protocols
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts
- Document temperature logs and warehouse activities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous cold storage or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -10°F for extended periods
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to train)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Reliable transportation to Fort Wayne facility
