Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain temperature-controlled storage facilities using provided equipment
- Safely load/unload refrigerated trucks and organize inventory in cold environments
- Operate company-provided forklifts and pallet jacks in refrigerated zones
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA safety protocols for cold storage operations
- Manage inventory documentation using digital systems provided by the company
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient cold chain workflows
Qualifications
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures with provided protective equipment
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain company-sponsored training
- Previous warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance awareness
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds with proper lifting techniques
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems
- Reliable transportation to our Washington, DC facility
- Pass pre-employment physical examination for cold environment work
