Responsibilities
- Unload and load refrigerated trucks using pallet jacks and forklifts while maintaining temperature integrity
- Organize and inventory frozen/dry goods in multi-zone cold storage facilities (-10°F to 40°F zones)
- Execute sanitation protocols using industrial equipment to meet FDA and USDA standards
- Operate warehouse management systems for real-time inventory tracking and quality control
- Coordinate with logistics team for efficient product rotation and FIFO compliance
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs to supervisors
- Maintain OSHA compliance in all cold storage operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months warehouse or cold storage experience required
- Ability to work in sub-freezing environments for extended periods
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficient with inventory management software (e.g., Oracle WMS, SAP)
- Physical stamina to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk 8+ hours daily
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California driver's license preferred
