Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature/humidity levels in refrigerated and frozen storage areas
- Safely load/unload pallets of perishable goods using forklifts and pallet jacks
- Conduct routine inventory counts and cycle counts using warehouse management systems
- Adhere to HACCP and food safety protocols for all handling procedures
- Perform preventative maintenance on cooling equipment and report malfunctions
- Operate palletizers, shrink wrappers, and other warehouse machinery
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces following 5S principles
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to complete training
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance awareness
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for 8+ hours
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems
