Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature levels in refrigerated/freezer zones
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and material handling equipment safely
- Inspect and organize inventory using FIFO principles in cold environments
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA safety protocols for cold storage operations
- Perform quality checks on perishable goods upon receipt and storage
- Document inventory movements and temperature logs accurately
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless logistics flow
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in cold storage or warehouse environment
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with inventory management skills
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for 8+ hours
- Basic computer literacy for inventory systems
- Valid California driver's license
