Responsibilities
- Unload and refrigerated trucks while maintaining strict temperature protocols
- Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) in cold storage zones
- Monitor and document temperature levels across storage units
- Perform quality inspections on perishable goods upon receipt
- Maintain inventory accuracy using warehouse management systems
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and HACCP guidelines
- Sanitize storage areas and equipment according to food safety protocols
- Collaborate with team to optimize cold storage workflows
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in cold storage or warehouse environment
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -10°F for extended periods
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Basic knowledge of food safety and temperature control principles
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
