Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move frozen food products efficiently
- Maintain precise temperature controls (-10°F to 0°F) throughout storage zones
- Conduct daily inventory audits using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Enforce strict sanitation protocols including PPE usage and equipment sanitization
- Coordinate loading/unloading of refrigerated trucks with tight delivery schedules
- Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration units and report malfunctions
- Train on safety protocols for cold stress and material handling hazards
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months cold storage or warehouse experience required
- Valid OSHA forklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly in sub-zero temperatures
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems
- Strong attention to detail for quality control compliance
- Flexibility to work nights/weekends during peak seasons
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
