Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in temperature-controlled environments (-10°F to 40°F)
- Load/unload refrigerated trailers and maintain accurate inventory records via digital systems
- Monitor storage conditions using IoT sensors and report deviations to remote supervisors
- Perform quality control checks on perishable goods and manage cold chain documentation
- Coordinate with remote logistics team for shipment scheduling and route optimization
- Maintain OSHA compliance in cold storage zones and conduct safety audits
- Participate in cross-functional virtual meetings for process improvements
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year cold storage or warehouse experience
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures and lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Proficient with inventory management software and remote communication tools
- Basic knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license and clean background check
- Experience with digital reporting systems (e.g., WMS, TMS)
