Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature/humidity levels in -10°F to 40°F storage zones using digital monitoring systems
- Operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts to accurately load/unload refrigerated trucks and organize inventory
- Conduct daily sanitation and safety inspections of equipment and storage areas following HACCP standards
- Manage inventory rotation using FIFO methods to ensure product freshness and minimize waste
- Document temperature logs, inventory counts, and equipment maintenance in digital tracking systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize storage space and workflow efficiency
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols when handling frozen goods and operating machinery
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; warehouse experience preferred
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Ability to work in cold environments (32°F-40°F) for extended periods
- Basic proficiency with inventory management software and digital data entry
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record required
