Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely and efficiently load and unload refrigerated trailers and pallets using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Cold Storage Maintenance: Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the storage aisles to ensure safe operational flow.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols, including proper lifting techniques and PPE usage.
- Equipment Operation: Operate powered industrial equipment (forklifts, clamp trucks) in a safe and responsible manner.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage or spoilage and report any issues immediately to the shift supervisor.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork related to inventory and shipping logs accurately and timely.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Temperature Tolerance: Willingness and ability to work in temperatures ranging from 35°F to 40°F.
- Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or cold storage environment is preferred but not required.
- Equipment Proficiency: Basic knowledge of forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and safety checks.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
