Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure 100% order accuracy.
- Team Management: Direct and mentor a team of warehouse staff, conducting performance reviews, scheduling shifts, and fostering a positive work culture.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a hazard-free working environment for all employees.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement in workflow and inventory control, implementing lean strategies to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular physical inventories, and manage returns and exchanges effectively.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all warehouse machinery and equipment are in proper working order and schedule necessary maintenance.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for logistics partners and internal stakeholders regarding daily operations and issues.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics management.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field is a plus.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift certification and Material Handler certification preferred.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to document procedures clearly.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
