Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal cold storage temperatures (-10°F to 40°F) through continuous monitoring and adjustment
- Load/unload refrigerated trucks using pallet jacks and forklifts following FIFO protocols
- Conduct inventory audits using RF scanners and digital inventory management systems
- Sanitize equipment and storage areas using USDA-approved cleaning procedures
- Operate temperature monitoring systems and report deviations immediately
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless logistics operations
- Adhere to OSHA and FDA safety standards for cold environments
Qualifications
- Previous cold storage or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Basic math skills for inventory reconciliation and temperature calculations
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability (nights/weekends)
- Physical stamina to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
