Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload shipments onto and off of pallets, racks, and trucks using forklifts and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are up to date through regular cycle counts.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and facility protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
- Temperature Control: Monitor storage areas to ensure temperature settings are maintained within required ranges to prevent product spoilage.
- Organization: Keep storage aisles clear and organized to facilitate efficient movement of goods.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic inspections and cleaning of warehouse equipment and tools.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, cold storage, or logistics setting is a plus but not required.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety when handling perishable goods.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including nights and weekends.
