Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature conditions in refrigerated warehouses (-10°F to 40°F)
- Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks in cold environments
- Inspect and document inventory rotation using WMS systems
- Adhere to strict food safety protocols (HACCP compliance)
- Perform preventative maintenance on cooling equipment
- Coordinate with quality assurance teams for audits
- Maintain accurate shipping/receiving documentation
- Train new hires on cold safety procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in temperature-controlled environments
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
- Basic knowledge of refrigeration systems
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
