Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct cycle counts in cold storage facilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move refrigerated products safely and efficiently
- Monitor and document temperature levels to ensure compliance with food safety standards
- Load/unload shipments while adhering to strict handling protocols for perishable goods
- Sanitize equipment and work areas following HACCP guidelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse operations
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards immediately to supervisors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Previous warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Valid OSHA forklift certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as 0°F (-18°C) for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance record
