Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload trucks and containers while maintaining cold chain integrity.
- Inventory Management: Conduct accurate inventory counts and maintain organized stockpiles within the freezer and cooler sections.
- Product Handling: Sort, pack, and label products according to strict safety and quality standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on provided equipment and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free workplace.
- Temperature Control: Monitor temperature logs and ensure proper storage conditions for sensitive food and medical supplies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, cold storage, or logistics environment is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and work in extreme cold temperatures (below 40°F).
- Equipment: Valid forklift certification (Class A, B, or C) is a plus but not required if willing to learn.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
