Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in refrigerated environments (training provided)
- Load/unload refrigerated trucks and organize inventory in cold storage zones
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct quality checks on perishable goods
- Adhere to HACCP standards and sanitation protocols for food safety
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and report facility issues
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets
- Complete safety training and follow OSHA guidelines for cold storage work
Qualifications
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -10°F (will provide cold-weather gear)
- Physical stamina to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Basic math skills for inventory documentation and measurements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid driver's license preferred but not required
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends/holidays
- No prior cold storage experience necessary – training provided!
