Job Overview
As a Cold Storage Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products are stored and shipped safely and efficiently. You will be working in a climate-controlled environment (varies by zone) and must be comfortable with strict safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual labor, ensuring all safety guidelines are followed.
- Monitor storage conditions regularly to ensure product quality and temperature logs are accurate and up to date.
- Organize inventory within the cold storage facility to maximize space and retrieval efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including sweeping floors and organizing aisles to prevent accidents.
- Operate warehouse equipment (Forklift, Scissor Lift) safely and perform routine equipment checks.
- Assist in order fulfillment by picking and packing orders accurately and quickly during peak seasons.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, attendance, and workplace conduct.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods in cold environments.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and safety checks.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a good work history.
- Communication Skills: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
- Ability to Pass Background Check: Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with counting, weighing, and basic inventory tracking.
