Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature (-10°F to 40°F) in refrigerated/freezer storage areas
- Safely load/unload temperature-sensitive products using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Conduct routine quality checks and inventory management in cold environments
- Adhere to strict HACCP and OSHA safety standards for cold storage operations
- Operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, RF scanners) in sub-zero conditions
- Document storage conditions and product movements using digital systems
- Collaborate with logistics team for timely shipments of refrigerated goods
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in cold storage or refrigerated warehouse operations
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain company training)
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -10°F for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail and precision in temperature monitoring
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Reliable transportation to Madison facility (2-3 days on-site weekly)
