Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels in refrigerated warehouses (-10°F to 40°F)
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and refrigeration monitoring systems
- Inspect and document facility equipment for compliance with FDA/USDA standards
- Load/unload temperature-sensitive products (food, pharmaceuticals) with precision
- Implement FIFO inventory rotation and stock rotation procedures
- Conduct daily safety audits and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with quality control team for product integrity checks
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance awareness
- Basic math skills for inventory documentation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk 8+ hours
- Valid California driver's license (for equipment operation)
- Pre-employment background check and drug screening required
