Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in temperature-controlled environments (-10°F to 40°F)
- Load/unload refrigerated trucks and organize inventory in cold storage units
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature/humidity levels using digital monitoring systems
- Inspect and rotate perishable inventory to ensure freshness and quality control
- Adhere to strict food safety protocols and OSHA safety standards
- Complete inventory documentation and warehouse management system entries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient logistics operations
Qualifications
- Ability to work in cold environments for extended periods (thermal gear provided)
- Basic forklift certification or willingness to obtain company-sponsored training
- Strong attention to detail and inventory management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for 8+ hour shifts
- Reliable transportation to our Bronx facility
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Previous warehouse or cold storage experience preferred but not required
- Valid NY driver's license a plus
