Responsibilities
- Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload pallets of goods onto and off trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Temperature Control: Monitor and maintain strict temperature controls within the freezer and refrigerated storage areas to ensure product integrity.
- Inventory Management: Perform accurate inventory counts, stock organization, and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean workspace.
- Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse machinery, including forklifts and conveyors, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to meet daily shipping and receiving targets.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50+ pounds repeatedly; ability to stand for extended periods.
- Experience: Prior experience in cold storage, warehousing, or logistics is a plus but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Math Skills: Basic math skills for inventory tracking and stock management.
- Conditions: Willingness to work in varying temperature conditions, including freezer environments.
- Attitude: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety and efficiency.
- License: Valid Driver’s License (Class C) is an asset.
