Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including wearing required PPE and reporting hazards immediately.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical safety and functionality.
- Inventory Management: Assist with stock rotation, inventory counts, and maintaining accurate records of stock movement.
- Organization: Keep the warehouse aisles clear and ensure products are stored according to established organizational standards.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Experience: No prior forklift experience required; we are looking for entry-level candidates eager to learn.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Skills: Basic math skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- License: Valid driver's license is a plus.
