Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock against purchase orders; ensure accurate logging of all items.
- Picking & Packing: Efficiently pick items for orders, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging to prevent damage during shipping.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following all safety protocols and 5S standards.
- Quality Control: Report damaged goods or discrepancies in inventory levels to the shift supervisor immediately.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic preventative maintenance checks on warehouse equipment and report malfunctions.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: No prior warehouse experience required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods (8+ hours).
- Skills: Basic math skills for counting and measuring; ability to read labels and safety documents.
- Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Attitude: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
