Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts in warehouse/distribution settings
- Load/unload freight with attention to inventory accuracy and damage prevention
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and comply with OSHA safety standards
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Collaborate with receiving/shipping teams for efficient workflow coordination
- Utilize warehouse management systems for inventory tracking
- Train new operators on safe equipment handling protocols
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- 1+ years of industrial equipment operation experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Basic computer literacy for inventory systems
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- High school diploma or equivalent required
