Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks (PIT) to move, stack, and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, railcars, or conveyors using appropriate equipment.
- Perform daily pre-shift safety inspections on forklifts to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and stock levels using warehouse management systems.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a hazard-free workplace.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and order fulfillment.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of debris.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator (CFO) license required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license (if operating a sit-down forklift with yard duties).
- Basic computer literacy for logging inventory data.
