Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to transport, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of equipment to ensure mechanical safety.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock counts and organization.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing cargo.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse tasks.
- Report any damaged goods or equipment malfunctions to management immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification (Class 1 or Class 3) is required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills for inventory accuracy.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Valid driver’s license (if driving powered industrial trucks).
