Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Verify inventory accuracy by conducting cycle counts and reconciling stock against shipping manifests.
- Package and label merchandise accurately for shipment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S standards and OSHA safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team leads to optimize workflow and resolve any logistical challenges immediately.
- Assist in training new operators on proper equipment usage and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and OSHA compliance standards.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use handheld scanners or RF devices.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed.
