Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Operate electric and gas-powered forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the facility and to delivery vehicles.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a zero-accident workplace.
- Inventory Management: Perform daily cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records by tagging and shelving products.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine pre-shift inspections and minor maintenance on forklifts to ensure optimal performance.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and stage orders accurately to meet daily production targets.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable experience operating stand-up forklifts or reach trucks.
- License: Valid Driver's License (Class B or C) required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory tracking and order processing.
- Communication: Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors.
