Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse and loading docks.
- Inventory Management: Accurately count, tag, and record inventory levels to maintain stock accuracy and assist in periodic inventory audits.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies. Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure equipment is in proper working order.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to delivery schedules and customer requirements.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe environment for all team members.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including delivery tickets, logbooks, and safety reports.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and perform heavy physical labor.
- License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Attitude: Strong commitment to workplace safety and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
