Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move materials.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Inventory Management: Accurately receive, stock, and organize inventory to ensure proper storage and easy retrieval.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections and report any maintenance issues with the forklift or facility equipment immediately.
- Load & Unload: Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure strapping.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse workspace, adhering to 5S standards.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid, current forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and pay close attention to detail to prevent errors in inventory and handling.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and overtime as required by business needs.
