Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning barcodes and verifying stock levels against system data.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a hazard-free workplace.
- Order Fulfillment: Efficiently pick and pack orders to ensure customer satisfaction and meet daily quotas.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse organized, clean, and free of clutter to prevent accidents.
- Equipment Checks: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork for shipments and inventory transfers accurately.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid forklift operator certification (CP, LF, or TF) and a current forklift license.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting inventory and processing orders.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends.
