Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts) to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and dock areas.
- Inventory Management: Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy against inventory records and purchase orders.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections and routine maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure safe and operational condition.
- Workspace Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to 5S principles and OSHA regulations.
- Palletizing: Properly stack and band pallets to ensure stability and prevent damage during storage or transit.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all required paperwork, including logbooks, safety reports, and inventory counts.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all safety protocols and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred) and current forklift license.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to verify numbers and maintain accurate records.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
