Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and to shipping docks.
- Inspect forklifts and warehouse equipment daily to ensure they are in safe, working condition.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts as directed by management.
- Follow all OSHA safety protocols and company policies to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Organize and stack pallets efficiently to maximize warehouse space utilization.
- Assist in general warehouse duties including packaging, labeling, and order picking.
- Communicate effectively with team leads regarding inventory levels and potential hazards.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator (CFO) or equivalent certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety regulations.
- Basic computer skills for logging inventory data accurately.
