Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials in warehouse and yard settings
- Inspect and maintain equipment daily, reporting malfunctions immediately
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and company inventory procedures
- Collaborate with receiving/shipping teams to optimize workflow efficiency
- Accurately document inventory movements and equipment usage
- Maintain clean, organized work areas to prevent safety hazards
- Train new team members on safe forklift operation practices
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA-certified forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse/forklift operation experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with basic math skills for inventory tracking
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities
- Pre-employment background check and drug screening required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
