Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Material Handling Equipment: Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to move, locate, and stock merchandise.
- Palletizing and Stacking: Stack and organize products onto pallets or shelves according to safety guidelines and inventory organization systems.
- Inventory Management: Perform regular cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, perform pre-shift safety inspections, and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Load and Unload: Efficiently load and unload trailers and trucks, ensuring cargo is secured and damage-free.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- License: Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy in inventory tracking.
- Equipment Knowledge: Experience with Reach Trucks, Counterbalance forklifts, or Cherry Pickers preferred.
