Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to scan and track stock levels, ensuring 100% accuracy in records.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a secure working environment for all employees.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections and basic maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure optimal functionality.
- Shipment Preparation: Prepare pallets and shipments according to customer specifications and shipping labels.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and fellow operators to streamline daily workflows and resolve bottlenecks.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Class A or Class B Forklift Operator Certification is required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and shipment details.
- Communication: Basic reading and comprehension skills; ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
