Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently drive and operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move, locate, and relocate materials.
- Inventory Management: Pick, pack, and stage products accurately to ensure customer orders are fulfilled correctly and on time.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of forklifts and other equipment to identify potential issues and report maintenance needs.
- Load & Unload: Safely load and unload trucks, verifying shipments against bills of lading.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting and organizing inventory.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
