Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to load and unload materials.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by scanning and labeling stock according to company standards.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse floor clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Packaging & Shipping: Properly package and prepare items for shipment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members to meet daily production goals and shipping deadlines.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is preferred but not required for immediate hire.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow safety procedures and attention to detail in inventory tracking.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
