Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inspect all forklift equipment prior to and after each shift to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning barcodes and documenting stock movements.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and traffic patterns.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and meet daily productivity targets.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the work area to prevent accidents and hazards.
- Assist in organizing the warehouse layout to optimize storage space and accessibility.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to read and understand pick lists and inventory logs.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Valid driver's license (not always required for the lift, but beneficial for internal transport).
