Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA regulations and company safety policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Inventory Management: Accurately count, tag, and record inventory movements using handheld scanners.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts to ensure they are in proper working order and report any mechanical issues.
- Organization: Keep storage areas clean, organized, and clutter-free to ensure efficient workflow.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, climb stairs, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and safety checks.
- Documentation: Ability to read and understand shipping labels, work orders, and safety logs.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts and willing to work overtime as needed.
