Responsibilities
- Safely operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts) and material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the facility and to loading docks.
- Inspect forklifts daily for any mechanical issues or safety hazards before operation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning pallets and logging stock movements into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and efficient warehouse flow.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and refueling or recharging batteries.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Class A or B Forklift Operator Certification required.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Skills: Proficiency with RF scanners, pallet jacks, and forklift attachments.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Availability: Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Background: Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
