Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and reach forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve pallets within the warehouse.
- Loading & Unloading: Load and unload trucks using forklifts and hand trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing cargo.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts and tagging stock as required.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues to management immediately.
- Workspace Organization: Keep the warehouse floor clean, organized, and free of debris to prevent accidents.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Documentation: Ability to provide a valid driver's license and pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and pay close attention to safety details.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
