Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Equipment: Drive and operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and to delivery vehicles.
- Inventory Management: Accurately receive, verify, and stock incoming goods using warehouse management systems (WMS) and scanners.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage and ensure all items are properly packaged and labeled before storage.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by adhering to all safety protocols and housekeeping standards.
- Load Planning: Efficiently organize cargo loads to maximize space utilization and ensure secure transport.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts and inventory logs, with high accuracy.
- Equipment Care: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience operating heavy industrial machinery in a warehouse setting preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and maneuver heavy objects for extended periods; physical strength required.
- Driver's License: Valid Class C Driver's License required.
- Safety Focus: Strong commitment to safety protocols and accident prevention; must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to use handheld scanners or RF guns.
- Reliability: Punctual attendance and ability to work flexible hours, including overtime when necessary.
